The Sooga Island Alien is the 3rd segment of the 5th episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.
Synopsis[]
A secret agent comes to Sooga Island in search of aliens. Too bad he's not very good at his job...
Plot[]
Secret Agent Smith arrives to the Sooga Island train station, approaching a soda machine that is marked out of order but actually holds soda-can walky-talkies. From this, he receives a message from his superiors and gives them his report. There has been alien sightings in Sooga and he will be investigating to find extra terrestrials. With the report delivered, he throws the can into the trash where it self-destructs.
While looking around Sooga, he spies Granny and Panky having a discussion about an octopus the younger woman caught. Thinking this unusual, he decides Panky is a suspect for alien while the octopus, having wandered away, approaches the secret agent. Smith freaks out and tries to shoo it away, but startles the sea creature who spits ink on him. Smith moves on and finds the Tofu Vendor admiring his merchandize until a stray cat knocks it from his hands. While he cries over the lost food, Smith considers his odd behavior as proof that he might be an alien.
Abyo is passing by the train station and upon noticing the drink machine that looks operational, he goes to get a soda. He gets one of Smith's soda can walkie-talkies and the receiver, mistaking him for Smith, asks about the aliens. Abyo is startled by such news but Smith arrives and uses a special machine to wipe the boy's mind. As an added twist, the martial artist also starts to act like a chicken.
Smith isn't sure where to look next and asked some people he passes if they have any clues about aliens. These people, who are in fact aliens, declare they have no such info. Smith obliviously thanks them.
At that moment, Garu and Pucca zoom by and he is amazed by how the girl moves so fast. Garu is snagged by a net trap set by Tobe and his ninjas who gloats that a true ninja would have seen it coming. The pig-tailed boy frees himself of the net but then lands in the pitfall trap Tobe constructed as a back up. Pucca is angry about this and after uprooting the tree they were standing in, she uses it as a bat to knock them into the distance. Garu, climbing out of the hole, takes off running again while she follows. After this display, Smith is certain Pucca is an alien and follows after the two.
They run to the Goh-Rong Restaurant but Smith is out of energy by the time they arrive. Dada greets him but is worried about how exhausted looks. The agent takes a seat inside and reunites with the "villagers" (really aliens) from before, again seeing nothing suspicious about them.
The chefs compliment Garu for the ingredients he's brought them but also worry about how filthy he's become. He and Pucca both take note of this and while she rushes upstairs to her room, he takes off through the window to head home. The chefs get to work using the ingredients to cook. When Pucca returns and finds Garu gone, she also heads out. Smith, who was eating dumplings in the dinning room, sees the girl leaving and follows her.
Pucca arrives to Garu's house where the boy is taking a bath, having left his clothes on the line. The Delivery girl secretly takes his outfit and goes to wash it in the nearby creak. Smith gives an update to his companions that he has definitely found an alien and is given the orders to neutralize her. He throws a cube-gadget over her head which expands into a giant box.
Garu finally takes notice of Pucca nearby and since he's naked, he breaks his feet through the bathtub so he can run off while wearing it. The girl sees him sneaking away and chases after him, only to be caught in a tractor beam from Agent Smith's cube. Too bad for him, she proves too strong and breaks from from the cube, short-circuiting it. While she keeps running after Garu, the cube malfunctions and starts picking up several things in the area such as Mio, Ring Ring and even Smith himself. It eventually catches Garu which prompts Pucca to through a boulder at the trap, breaking it and setting everything free. She catches Garu but Smith (and Ring Ring) are thrown into the bushes. Mio lands in Garu's bath tub and it finally breaks, revealing the ninja in his boxers to his embarrassment. Pucca solves the issue by giving back his cleaned outfit and he is glad to have it smelling good again which makes her happy, too.
Smith regains consciousness with all his gadgets scattered and sees his "friends" before flying in a space ship, realizing they were the real aliens. While he is in shock at this discovery, the aliens use his own amnesia machine against him. Smith's memories as wiped and he starts acting like a chicken, soon joined by chicken-brain Abyo as they both go around pecking the ground like birds.
