The Bride of Muji is the second segment of the tenth episode of the second season and the thirty-sixth overall episode of the Pucca television series. It first aired on July 14, 2008.

Synopsis[]

Muji creates a bride for himself, but she falls in love with another man. Muji attempts to win her heart.

Plot[]

In a castle on a scary cliff, mad scientist Muji is putting the final touches on his greatest creation. With help from his zombie assistant, Igor, he is creating the perfect bride for himself. They throw the final switch to give her a bolt of lightning but all this does is cause a power outage. Igor offers his master some noodles and the smell of the tasty food awakens the bride, Franken-Pucca, who happily gobbles it all up. Muji is delighted by his lovely creation and proposes to her right there, but she ignores his offers as she smells more food coming from the nearby village. She crashes through the wall and heads to town, with Muji and Igor chasing after her.

Down in Bavarian 1800s Sooga Village, the chefs are working in their kitchen when the Pucca monster storms in. They are surprised by the intrusion, but she only wants to gobble up their noodles to satisfy her hunger. Through the fog, she spies a handsome boy riding in a carriage and instantly falls in love with him, crashing through the chefs' wall to go find him. Linguini declares that if she wasn't so "monstrously cute", he would be angry about the damages.

Gentleman Garu has just arrived to Sooga, though Coachman Santa warns that it is a very spooky place. The Pucca monster jumps down from a tree to land on the carriage, then pulls Garu on top so she can kiss him to his disgust. Muji sees this happening and overcome with jealousy, swears he will win back his bride. Garu flees from the Pucca monster, hopping across rooftops to escape, but she finds him anyway.

When he jumps over a wall, he meets Muji who is ready to fight him over Pucca. The monster girl arrives to the scene and Garu runs, which Muji thinks to mean he gave up and Pucca is coming to him. However, she just wanted to take back the zombie arm he'd taken from Igor a while back and after launching Muji through the air, she politely returns it to her fellow monster before taking off after Garu again.

Muji has crash-landed on top of Garu and ready to start up a fight, but his fist is caught by Pucca. HE thinks she has finally chose him but she again throws him away in order to protect Garu. He lands on a windmill which, aided by a strong blow from the Pucca monster, goes flying of into the distance. Pucca is satisfied with this but Garu has escaped again.

After getting lost in the swamp -- and getting distracted by Phantom of the Opera Dada -- Garu is finally caught by the Pucca monster. He is so terrified, he faints on the spot which allows her to peacefully start dragging him away. As they go, they pass by Muji who asks Pucca how she could like "this boy" more than him, a statement Garu takes offense to. He pulls free from Pucca's grasp and the two males finally have their fight, which ends with Garu knocking the mad scientist into the swamp. He doesn't have long to appreciate his victory before Pucca carries him away. As they go, Muji is left behind in the swamp, but quickly swims out to avoid a lovestruck swamp monster. He declares to Igor that he needs an angry mob for his last chance to get his bride back.

The Pucca monster is dragging Garu up to Muji Castle but they find themselves followed by a mob of zombies, led by Muji. Hurrying inside, Pucca pulls up the drawbridge and Muji is left to fall down into the river, giving her his last declaration of love. Not caring, Pucca happily chases Garu around the castle until he runs to Muji's lab, hiding under the blanket on the table. Unfortunately for the gentleman, the monster takes advantage of this to raise the table up through the roof and into the storm so that he is struck with lightning.

The Pucca monster is glad to have her new undead love at he side. She gives Franken-Garu kiss on the cheek, sending jolts of electricity between the both of them.
