Pucca

Pucca's Dumpling (공포의 만두, Gongpoui Mandu) is the 2nd segment of the 4th episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.

Synopsis[]

While Pucca makes Garu-shaped dumplings for a special picnic, Ring Ring would steal the recipe to make her own. One problem: everyone but Ring Ring thinks the dumplings taste awful!

Plot[]

Pucca is watching a romantic movie of a couple on a picnic. Seeing them gifting food to each other inspires the delivery girl who heads to the kitchen to make some Garu-shaped dumplings. Proud of her creations, she offers a few to her uncles and head off to give her treats to Garu. However, the chefs find the dumplings taste horrible.

Garu is training in the woods, unaware of Ring Ring spying on him nearby. Pucca enters the scene and Ring Ring watches her set up a picnic for the ninja boy before running off to get more supplies. Ring Ring is not impressed with this romantic gesture and sets about ruining it until becoming interested in Pucca's dumplings. She takes a bite and actually likes them a lot. She runs off with all the dumplings just as Pucca returns with a bouquet of flowers, shocked by her ransacked picnic spot.

Heading back to the Dong King Restaurant, Ring Ring is gleefully eating Pucca's food, though is surprised the girl can cook so well (still unaware of how bad it really is). She begins to fear that if Garu should eat Pucca's dumplings, he would fall in love with her on the spot, something the heiress cannot allow. She sends her dumplings down to the kitchens with instructions to reproduce them for her.

The chefs at Dong King have the same reaction as those from Goh Rong: the dumplings are horrible, to the point they can't stand trying to decipher the recipe. Ayo and Fyah find the cooking crew passed out from the awful taste and while Fyah questions how they can't follow orders to reproduce the dumplings, Ayo feeds him one so he'll understand how bad they are. He also faints from the shock. Ring Ring isn't pleased that they cant do it, threatening to fire everyone until Fyah offers a different tactic: using a mini camera attached to a snail that can be put into the Goh-Rong kitchens to steal the recipe.

Fyah has one of the Canned Food Men launch the snail into the Goh-Rong kitchen where it lands on Pucca's head, quickly shaken off as she gets to work cooking. The snail struggles with its slow speeds compared to Pucca's rapid movements but eventually reaches a spot it can watch her work. Ring Ring is pleased, declaring the snail will be their new vice president while she sends the video feed to her own chefs.

With their picnics prepared, both Ring Ring and Pucca head to Garu's house only to run across one another. They race to get to the boy first while he, fearful of their intentions, runs off. Pucca has a clear advantage of speed until Ring Ring hops on her spaceship to keep up. With mechanical arms, she tries to feed Garu the dumplings. He dodges, only to have Pucca shoving the same food at him to eat. The ninja boy is caught between the two sides and while he still refuses to eat Ring Ring's dumplings, she transforms to make him eat. Catching him in her hair, she's ready to force-feed him but Pucca comes to his defense, freeing him while sending the other girl flying.

With Ring Ring gone, Pucca can finally have her picnic with Garu who tries his best to get away until she makes him eat a dumpling. Like everyone else, he is disgusted by their taste but Pucca is still pleased to kiss him.
