Little Miss Sooga is the first segment of the twenty-forth episode of the television show Pucca. It first aired on April 27, 2007.

Synopsis[]

When Pucca enters the Little Miss Sooga Beauty Pageant to impress Garu (a judge), Ring Ring attempts to sabotage her in order to claim the crown.

Plot[]

Pucca is trying to get Garu's attention by dropping her hankies but his ironclad focus to training leaves her disappointed. Ching tries to cheer her up, but Ring Ring spitefully declares that only the prettiest girl in the world could get his attention, a title she claims for herself. Ching scoffs at the idea that Garu would like Ring Ring. At this moment, Master Soo approaches Garu with an invitation to judge the Little Miss Sooga beauty pageant. When he calls the position a "great honor" Garu happily jumps in. The girls overhear this and Ching encourages Pucca to take part so Garu will notice her. Ring Ring also decides to sign up so she can prove she's better than Pucca.

On the night of the pageant, Master of Ceremonies Soo sings his introduction song as the female contestants enter the stage, consisting of Pucca, Ring Ring, and Soo's maidens. Unknown to them, Ring Ring's dog Yuni is on the rafters and releases sandbags that knock out the maidens. Ring Ring is ready to claim victory by default but Pucca has withstood the sandbag attempt and while Yuni tries again and again, the noodle girl is unfazed. Soo compliments her for her "pretty hat", which annoys Ring Ring.

It's time for the Question and Answer portion of the contest, but Ring Ring has swapped Master Soo's question cards with her rigged questions. She gets the first question which simply asks her why she is so beautiful and by coupling her answer to "World peace" she gets the approval of the crowd. Judges Santa and Bruce score Ring Ring 8's for her answer but Judge Garu gives her a 1, to the worry of everyone. Pucca is then given her question which is a complicated equation regarding jajang noodles and molecular physics. She doesn’t immediately answer but lucky for her, Master Soo declares this convoluted question would have no answer and takes her silence as a sign of genius. Santa and Bruce give her perfect 10's but Garu again gives only a 1. Santa asks if it’s the lack of marital arts that is making the ninja so discontent.

They move on to the next segment which is evening gowns (though Soo is lacking creativity with his songs). Ring Ring shows off her lovely evening gown, describing the intricate craftsmanship. She reenters the backstage to compliment Pucca for her more understated dress, declaring the judges will love it. But this is a setup as Yuni dumps a barrel of "worms" onto the noodle girl and Ring Ring kicks her out onto the runway, expecting her to be humiliated. But when Pucca bursts out of the barrel, her dress has been transformed into a elaborate ballgown, revealed to be the work of silkworms instead of the earthworms that Ring Ring was expecting. Pucca received more 10's and a 1 from the judges.

It's time for the final portion which is a display of talent. Ring Ring wows the audience with her percussion music playing but still gets only a 1 from Judge Garu. Pucca goes next with a fan dance and Ring Ring hopes to trip her up by spilling a Chinese checker set onto the stage. The noodle girl slips on the marbles but turns her flailing into a martial arts display, landing perfectly poised. This is finally the act that impresses Garu and earns her a perfect 10 from him. But this is also the last straw for Ring Ring who attacks the judges in outraged. This prompts Pucca into battle and Garu, still amazed by Pucca's fighting skills, scores her higher and higher for every hit she lands on Ring Ring. In the end, the show is destroyed but Pucca has earned 1,000,000 points from Garu, winning her the crown of Little Miss Sooga.

Ring Ring stews in her defeat while Pucca takes the victory walk down the runway, only to dive off the end so she can tackle Garu in kisses. She scores him a 10 for the experience and goes in for more.
