It's a Ring Ring Thing is the first segment of the eleventh episode of the second season and the thirty-seventh overall episode of the television show Pucca. It first aired on July 21, 2008.

Synopsis[]

When Ring Ring's anger gets out of control, she sees a psychiatrist and literally splits into two personalities. Now the Evil side is out to get Pucca.

Plot[]

Ring Ring is out shopping when she hears about a half-price sale and fights with the other girls for a nice dress. Frustrated, she knocks them away with her siren form -- which she calls her "bad side" -- only to find Pucca has already claimed the dress, being greatly admired for how pretty she look in it. Ring Ring is annoyed but decides she doesn't need new clothes to get attention. At that moment, a handsome guy walks by and Ring Ring attempts to flirt, but suddenly snaps into "bad mode" and blasts him away. This outburst confuses her.

Her day continues with one unexpected tantrum after another; when she's served the wrong tea at the Goh-Rong she throws Dada (who is just happy to get her attention) and when a beautician offers to give her Pucca-style hair, she gives her a buzz cut. It seems she is having trouble with her temper. Seeking some professional help, she tells Therapist Santa of her situation and he proposes she might be tense, which enrages her. Confronted with her "bad side", he brings out a Christmas ornament to hypnotize the girl and summon the "Good Ring Ring" but in doing this, accidentally splits her into two separate beings. The Good Ring Ring is full of sweetness and offers the man a hug before skipping away. But the "Bad Ring Ring" (which possesses all their powers) destroys the entire building just for fun.

Abyo stands before a crowd of girl, wearing a tux and holding a lute, ready to put on a performance. Which is actually just him smashing the lute over his own head, but the ladies find this very impressive Bad Ring Ring approaches him, calling him "worm" and demanding to know where Pucca is. Abyo, insulted by the name, proceeds to show off his Kung Fu skills. This does not impress her and in moments, she grabs him, smashes him around, then plants him in the ground before walking away.

Meanwhile, Good Ring Ring skips through the forest, finding and smelling some red and pink flowers. She picks the red flower, stating that Pucca will love it as it would match her dress. She skips off to find Pucca to give the flower to her.

As evil Ring Ring continues to look for Pucca, Ssoso tells her to relax and find her “inner Pucca.” She pretends to take this advice, asking to sit beside him on his bench but purposefully crashes down on it, to launch him into the sky. The monk crashes down into the ground, injured.

The good Ring Ring continues to skip through the forest with a ton of wildlife following behind her, while the evil Ring Ring causes mass destruction in Sooga Village. The villagers rally under Abyo who declares Ring Ring a menace who must be stopped. The good Ring Ring approaches the people and offers them flowers, but as they think is the one breaking things, they angrily chase after her. After she successfully loses them, she becomes sad, confused why no one likes her. She hopes there might be a sunny side to this but it begin to rain on her, so she walks away only further depressed.

As luck would have it, Pucca is out playing in this rain, splashing along after frogs. Good Ring Ring rushes up to her and warns her about the evil Ring Ring. Too bad the Evil twin heard Pucca's name mentioned and launches herself at the delivery girl. They do battle and Pucca throws her into the hanging bell which collapses on her. she thinks she's won and is ready to move on, but the evil twin rises from the wreckage, now the size of a mountain, asking if she has everyone's attention now. Pucca is ready to fight again but this time, she can't hold out against the giant's powers which greatly overwhelm her. Evil Ring Ring knocks her through a building and when Pucca pulls herself back out, she is dazed and badly injured. Pucca has finally met her match.

She storms over to finish off the delivery girl but the good Ring Ring steps in, trying to calm her and keep her from hurting Pucca. The evil twin ignores all of her suggestions, repeatedly knocking her away with increasing violence. On her third failure, Good Ring Ring is thrown across the ground and notes angrily that her make up has been ruined, causing her to finally snap at her evil side.

Her mounting rage creates a vortex around her and the evil side is drawn in, merging the two back together again. Though momentarily dazed, Ring Ring is perfectly fine and back to her old self. She smugly tells Pucca that she was right in her earlier comment about not needing a new dress to get attention, then sticks her tongue out at her and saunters away. The villagers are still terrified of her, except for Dada who she strikes once more, to his happiness that she noticed him. The chefs comment on Ring Ring being "back to normal" which makes them laugh at the idea she was ever normal at all.
