Synopsis[]
Garu and Ssoso travel to India to find the Swami Soo to learn inner peace as Pucca pursues him.
Plot[]
Maharaja Garu is being led by Ssoso to find the great Swami Soo, hoping he can teach them the secret to inner peace. At the same time, Pucca has been presented a magnificent palace by her uncles, a monument to funny love where she can live one day with her one true love. She appreciates the gift but then notices the passing Maharaja Garu and falls instantly in love with him. She charges right for him on her howdah-carrying elephant and he, terrified, grabs Ssoso to flee.
Pucca's uncles have now moved on to their next aspiration: to create the ultimate curry. They have a batch that seems promising and force Dada to taste test it for them. It's hot enough that steam erupts from his ears, sending him flying around the kitchen. But the chefs decide this is not quite what they were hoping for and try again.
Garu drags Ssoso through the town market, hoping to lose Pucca though she just charges right through the crowd after them. They happen upon Snake Charmer Santa who summons a rope into the sky, a perfect escape route. Garu carries Ssoso up it and Santa, terrified by Pucca's elephant, follows them up while retracting the rope. Pucca is at a loss to where they went until Santa drops the rope on her and she sees the trio hopping across clouds. Not letting them get away, she takes the rope to form a staircase up for her and her elephant.
Once the elephant is up on the cloud, it uses its trunk to vacuum the fleeing group though only manages to catch Santa while Garu and Ssoso escape. Displeased, it ejects Santa into the distance and takes off after the other two. Garu lands safely on the group and with Ssoso now riding on his head, he takes off running through the city with Pucca right on his heels, her elephant terrorizing the population.
Back at the kitchen, the chefs have made another recipe for curry and though Dada politely rejects to try it, they force it on him anyway. This time, the spiciness of it gives him hallucinations, even seeing the chefs as a three-headed Shiva. The trio decide to try again.
Pucca's elephant has run out of stamina for this chase, allowing Garu to escape for now. But the girl won’t give up and, seeing a cycle rickshaw, she puts the elephant in the carriage while she takes over the leg work.
Garu and Ssoso run through a cricket game and after slipping on the ball, Garu is now riding Ssoso's head. He goes with it, even snatching the cricket bat so he can swat Ssoso into speeding up when Pucca comes into view. The two escape into the forest and while Pucca tries to follow, her elephant becomes stuck between the trees, wrecking the rickshaw and causing her to crash. Garu gloats as he and Ssoso finally escape her.
The boys travel through the woods, still seeking Swami Soo but also having to admit they've become lost ("physically, not spiritually"). Pucca, having recovered her elephant and howdah, stands on a nearby mountain to find them with her telescope. She spies the two but also sees a pair of tigers sneaking up on them. She charges down the mountain to rescue them and her elephant shows great Kung Fu skill in beating the cats back into the wild.
The chefs have given their curry one more try and despite Dada's pleading, make him try it anyway. To his surprise, it tastes pretty good up until the spices set in. This time, fire erupts from his mouth and he's propelled through the wall of the kitchen, flying off into the distance. The chefs are pleased; this is just what they were hoping for.
Garu is not pleased having Pucca with them now, but Ssoso thinks this might be the sign they had hoped for in finding Swami Soo. They are surprised when rocket-mouth Dada zooms by them and crashes into the trunk of a giant tree which they realizes is Swami Soo's treetop temple. The swami and his maidens come out to investigate the noise and Ssoso asks him for the secret to finding inner peace. Soo gladly gives him the answer: song and dance!
This kicks off a grand Bollywood-style musical, featuring Pucca and Garu singing about funny love. In the end, Pucca finally gets a kiss on him.
