Go! Mask Woman is the 3rd segment of the 4th episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.
Synopsis[]
Ring Ring is stuck with a face mask and gets caught up in a rescue situation, creating a super heroine alter-ego named "Mask Woman". For the praise of her adoring fans, including a star-struck Garu, she'll go along with it.
Plot[]
Pucca and Garu have become big fans of a new super hero tv show, watching it together in the Goh-Rong which the chefs find amusing.
Meanwhile, Ring Ring is enjoying a spa day with a face mask and some exercise. She sees the same superhero show but considerers it too childish as she goes to finish her facial. Without her notice, a mischievous cat wanders into her room. Ring Ring finds she can't remove her face mask without the special scrub brush but as she reaches for it, the cat snatches it and runs off with her giving chase.
In the village, Officer Bruce is bored by the peaceful day until the cat and Ring Ring in her face mask run by. They crash into the Tofu Vendor which sends his "babies" through the air, getting stuck on the roof. The cat also climbs up to the roof to hide out with Ring Ring's scrub brush. Other villagers gather to the site, including Su Da and her news crew, just as Ring Ring is climbing up to get her brush.
Up on the roof, Ring Ring reaches for her brush but slips and falls. She lands safely but also catches the tofu to the everyone's amazement. Seeing her in athletic wear with the face mask and “cape”, Su Da declares she must be a superhero. The girl is nervous about the sudden misunderstanding until she notices how entranced Garu is by her, even requesting an autograph. Happy for her crush’s attention, she proudly declares herself as "Mask Woman", complete with superhero poses. Everyone is very impressed by her.
Late in the night, Ring Ring Is in her spaceship still looking for the cat with her scrub brush. Finding it, she pulls out a fishing pole with a fish-shaped bread on the end to catch it. However, she only manages to catch a hungry Santa. As she tries to shake him off, she crashes her ship, leaving Santa suspended from the rope over a haybale. Dada runs over with a lantern, concerned for him, but trips and sets the haybales on fire. Santa is now in real trouble and calls for help.
Seeing this, Pucca runs to get her Mask Woman signal light, flashing the mask symbol in the sky. Ring Ring is still dazed from the crash, confused by the signal, but Pucca finds her and drags her to the situation. She isn't willing to help save Santa until again being bombarded by Garu's cute admiration, pressuring her to give it a try. Climbing the tree, she struggles to reach Santa but once a spider frightens her, she throws herself at the rope to escape. This sends them swinging and the rope snaps, tossing them safely out of harm's way while the villagers cheer. Ring Ring is mad at Pucca for dragging her into danger, but Garu is doing her signature superhero poses so the two girls join in. Having Garu's admiration, Ring Ring decides she'll keep pretending to be a superhero.
For the next few days, "Mask Woman" is busy with a variety of good deeds. Catching Won for Ching, helping a cow (and the cat) cross a broken bridge, and getting Abyo's nunchucks out of a wall. But then Pucca drags her to the site of the must difficult task of all: a tornado heading right for the island. Though she still wants Garu's admiration, she can see how hopeless this request is and instead tells everyone to run away. They take her advise but all except Pucca are swept up in the tornado, unable to break free.
Confronted with this threat, Pucca spins herself until she forms a tornado as well, clashing with the other. She proves the strongest and breaks up the winds, saving everyone. Ring Ring finally catches the cat and gets the scrub brush back so she can remove the face mask. The villager are amazed at Pucca's rescue and declare her their new superhero, Super Pucca, and forgetting all about Mask Woman to Ring Ring's outrage. Everyone cheers for Super Pucca while Garu isn't sure what to think. He does join in with her in a superhero poses, though.
