Synopsis[]
Garu Hood must defeat a dragon in order to retrieve the Noodle Bowl (and Dada too) so that the poor can eat.
Summary[]
In Medieval Sooga Village, Destiny is playing the role of a tradition man-eating dragon, though not without a lute on hand for musical accompaniment. He is attracted by the smell of fresh noodles and wanders off to find them.
The chefs have made up a big pot of noodles with which to feed the poor and hungry, aided by their scullery boy Dada and maids Pucca and Ching. Just as they reach the last person in their line, Destiny strolls up and swallows the dish, bowl included. Finding this not enough to satisfy his hunger, he also eats Dada, though is struck with immediate indigestion. The chefs are upset about the stolen bowl as without it, they can't finish feeding the poor. So Ching and Pucca volunteer to get it back. And, as pointed out by Pucca, rescue Dada as well.
Within the dragon's stomach, Dada is alright and makes the acquaintance of another person swallowed by the dragon, a girl by the name of "Rat-Teeth". She believes him to be a handsome knight come to save her while he finds her "as beautiful as her name". It is love at first sight and while they enjoy their romantic rendezvous, Destiny is belching up hearts which he assumes is just "heart burn".
Out in the forest, Prince Muji is having a feast with his zombies, warning them to keep an eye out for Garu Hood. As they toast their own evilness, they don't notice as their roast chicken is stolen away by none other than Garu Hood. The robber escapes into the woods, leaping across the tree tops, until he comes across a group of hungry Goblins. He gifts them the food, to their gratitude, and walks off pleased with a good deed done. The girls have witness this, with Maid Pucca immediately falling for the kind-hearted ninja. Maid Ching thinks they could ask him for help in rescuing the noodle bowl. And Dada, as Pucca must remind her again.
Garu reaches his camp in the forest, greeted by his comrades Little Abyo and Friar Santa. A noise in the bushes alerted them to intruders and Maidens Ching and Pucca show themselves, declaring to be friends. Little Abyo believes them and makes the introductions for the Merry Ninjas. Ching informs them of the need to rescue a bowl -- and Dada -- and asks for their. Garu Hood is willing but Little Abyo requires one of them show a test of strength by battling him. He rips off his shirt and prepares for a fight, but Pucca only grabs him and throws him against a tree. Little Abyo, dazed, approves of their team up.
Dada and Rat-Teeth are still enjoying one another's company within the dragon's stomach. They find a rat inside with them, both finding it adorable, although it attacks Dada. Destiny continues to suffer an upset stomach while a knight arrives to slay him. Too bad that Destiny's indigestion gives him a fiery belch that defeats the knight before he can act. Sword disintegrated, the warrior withdraws.
The Merry Ninjas wander upon this same knight, trying to make himself a new sword, and inquire if he's seen the dragon. He declares he will only tell them if they can complete his three challenges. Little Abyo is annoyed by knights always giving challenges, but they accept his terms. As the first challenge, they are told to remove the magic sword from the stone. Garu Hood tries his hardest but cannot budge the weapon. Maid Pucca gives it a shot by simply breaking the stone itself, getting the sword easily.
The next task is to retrieve a golden shield. Garu Hood approaches the tower with a rope of hair lowered down to him. After climbing to the top, he finds it is in fact Maid Pucca's hair as she comes charging at him for a kiss. He quickly snags the needed shield off of the wall and puts it up in defense, saving himself from her kisses.
The final task is to get the flying cloud of Merlin Soo. This proves the easiest as the wizard is fine to loan it to Garu Hood, so long as he gives it a wash before returning it. Garu Hood agrees, flying the cloud back to his friends though Maid Pucca uses the ride time to snuggle up to him.
The knight is pleased with all of these items and Maid Ching asks again about the dragon. As promised, the knight tells them where to find Destiny before flying away with his new toys.
the group find their dragon, still suffering with his stomachache. Little Abyo rushes in to attack but as he leaps at him, Destiny opens his mouth in pain and accidentally swallows hi. This Merry Ninja snack is enough finally soothe his stomach nd, now better, he is really to eat Garu Hood next. Drawing his sword, the ninja battles the dragon through the woods but the beast proves too strong. Garu Hood's sword is knocked from his hand and lands in the lake, leaving him defenseless.
Destiny readies to eat him but both are distracted when, from the water, rises Pucca as Lady of the Lake and wielding the sword. The dragon hurriedly gobbles up the ninja and Lady Pucca, enraged, attacks him. The force of her kick knocks makes him cough up all of his victims. Defeated, Destiny decides he isn't really cut out for this stereotypical dragon role. A delighted Dada embraces Rat-Teeth, hoping they can now marry as he places a kiss on her cheek. This kiss breaks the spell on Rat-Teeth, revealing her as Lady Ring Ring who coldly shoots down Dada's offer at marriage. The scullery boy is left depressed while being attacked for a second time by the rat from before.
With the bowl saved, the chefs use it to feed the last of the poor, keeping them happy until dinner time. Nearby, Garu Hood is pleased with a good day's work. But his day is not over as Maid Pucca uproots the tree he's standing in and uses it like a bat to knock him across the forest. He lands in the tower from before and she runs up to join him inside, where she can finally get her kiss.
