Etiquette Class is the 3rd segment of the 6th episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.

Synopsis[]

Ring Ring gets a ticket from Bruce for disrespecting the forest. She now needs forest etiquette lessons from none other than Pucca!

Plot[]

Ring Ring is riding her flying saucer through the forest, admiring the new pair of shoes she's taking home. After this distraction causes her to bump a tree, she gives into the temptation and rolls out a red carpet so she can practice walking in the new shoes. However, she trips over something stuck underneath it.

Officer Bruce arrives, finding that something to be a duckling who has now been injured by Ring Ring's carelessness. Bruce sites the Sooga Island animal protection laws and gives Ring Ring a yellow card, banning her from entering the forest for 100 days. Ring Ring complains about such punishment while Bruce declares the only other option is to receive Forest Ettiquette lessons as taught by the proclaimed Queen of Forest Etiquette: Pucca. Ring Ring refuses to learn anything from her rival and tries to flee in her space ship, but the delivery girl easily catches her while Bruce gives her another yellow card. If she gets one more, she'll be banished from the forest forever, so Ring Ring is left no other choice than to take Pucca's lessons.

Bruce explains Pucca's lessons in three categories: Wibbly-Wobbly, Cushy-Soft, and Crispy-Crunchy, phrases that Ring Ring finds ridiculous. Bruce shows her the first lesson, Wibbly-Wobbly, which involves a giant snake whose sleeping body is spread out across the ground (why it's call wibbly-wobbly). The lesson is to not disturb an animal during their slumber, so she must make it through the area without waking up the snake.

Pucca go first, demonstrating how to hop around the snack's coils without disturbing it. Ring Ring is confident she can do the same and starts hopping, only to land in a mud puddle. She immediately freaks out about ruining her new shoes and all her fussing wakes the snake which then tries to eat her. Pucca rescues her by jamming a stick in the snake's mouth, then playing a song with a leaf to put the reptile back to sleep. Ring Ring appreciates the saved but refuses to admit it.

They move on to the next lesson, Cushy-Soft, which takes place on a snowcapped mountain. The lesson is to walk without leaving prints in the snow so that everyone can enjoy its beauty. Pucca shows Ring Ring a path to take but the heiress rejects this, believing that whoever leaves their footprints in the snow first is the real winner. She prances around in the fresh powder, finding it great fun, until she bumps into a polar bear. The bear is not pleased with her ruining the landscape and readies to attack only to be hit with a snowball by Pucca. The bear readies to retaliate with a massive snowball of its own, forcing the trio to flee by sliding down the mountain. Pucca helps Ring Ring see it as a fun game and despite herself, the heiress does enjoy the ride. She and Pucca are clearly starting to bond.

It is time for the last lesson, Crispy-Crunchy, which involves an adorable squirrel. The squirrel approaches Pucca and tosses out a nut, then gives her a pitiful look as a request she open it. Pucca happily agrees, hopping up onto the nut and doing an adorable dance that cracks it perfectly, letting the squirrel eat then yummy insides. Ring Ring is amazed by this skill and when the squirrel tosses a nut to her, she tries to do the same dance, though ends up shattering the nut instead. Though Ring Ring is upset at this failure, Pucca knocks down an entire tree of nuts then pulls Ring Ring along to teach her the right method. Ring Ring is at first outraged by Pucca swinging her around, but she quickly starts to have fun and even better, finds she can now crack the nuts perfectly. The squirrel is very pleased with their efforts.

Bruce declares Ring Ring has passed the etiquette class and rescinds her ban. Pucca is sad that their fun times together have ended while Ring Ring pretends to be mad that she wasted her entire day like this, hoping into her spaceship to fly off. Moments later, she returns and claims to have accidentally knocked a nest from a tree. Bruce points out he wouldn't have known about this if she hadn’t admitted it, but she ignores him, declaring she'll need more etiquette lessons while acting as if this is a burden for her. But Pucca can tell she really just wants to hang out more and is glad for it.

Bruce escorts them to the fourth lesson but as he pulls back the bushes to reveal the dung beetles at work, the girls spy Garu. Bruce tries to instruct them on protecting the dung beetles but Pucca and Ring Ring both knock him aside to chase after Garu. All previous bonding is forgotten in their competition to catch Garu and while Bruce threatens them with a yellow card for ignoring the rules, they push him aside again. Some things are just more important than good manners.
