Edward is a minor villain that appears in Netflix's Pucca: Love Recipe. He appears in "The Disappearance of Goh-Rong" as the main antagonist. Little is known about him or what he is, besides that he works for Dong King. He had special scissors that can teleport or create a portal that would send anything to a different location. He is also deathly afraid of spiders. His current status is also unknown.
Biography[]
Edward appears behind Dong King in The Disappearance of Goh-Rong. When Dong King tires of Fyah's group failures, he decides to "fire" Fyah. He, therefore, assigns Edward to Fyah's job but advises him to not let Ring Ring known of his presence. Edward eagerly accepts his new position and immediately uses his special "scissors" and exiles Fyah. He then makes his next move and immediately goes to remove the Goh-Rong Restaurant and its staff. Though Garu immediately tries to defend the restaurant, Edward gets the best of him and teleports Garu, the restaurant and its staff (minus Pucca) to a deserted island with Fyah.
Ring Ring is at first unfazed by the news, until she hears that Garu is missing. She goes to have one of the chefs to give her info on a mysterious figure, as she does not recognize Edward's portrait at first. But upon hearing this Edward goes after the chef to tie a "loose end". However, the chef escapes, but Edward does not continue to follow feeling they scared him enough.
Ring Ring eventually finds out it's Edward behind this, thanks to some info from Fyah. Eventually, with some help from Pucca and company, they are able to defeat Edward and return the others back to Sooga Island. Edward's status is never truly known though. As the restaurant literally fell on Edward, and Fyah did not help him out. Instead, leaving him with his worst fear, a spider. It is unknown what happened to Edward after this, but it is implied that he was brought the ship.
Appearance[]
Edward has a similar to Pucca, having pastel green/oil green colored skin and red hair with straight lined bangs similar to The Florist, and has his eyes closed. He has a mustache above his mouth, and a grey uniform with a red open collar above a whitish-grey square (presumably a belt or button) below it. Edward's voice actor is Dave Ward, who also voices Captain and Tenacious in the show.
Trivia[]
- Edward may be dead, which would make him one of the few villains to die.
- However, its unknown even what Edward really is. He could be an alien or a robot, explaining how he could survive having a building fall on him.
- Edward and his "crew" design wise seem to be based of doctors/medics.
- His design is similar to Pucca. They have similar hairstyles, they always have their eyes closed, they both have blushes, they have the same smile and are both afraid of spiders. Edward, however, can only open his eyes halfway, and Pucca can open her eyes fully.
- It is possible that Edward could be the brother of The Florist, Hwayo. They both have red hair and straight lined bangs. If there were plans for a fourth season and if the show Pucca was never-ending/continuous, he'd redeem himself, along with the other villains, and apologize to everyone for his and their actions towards them and become Hwayo's brother and the other villains would turn good.
