The Dong King Restaurant is the only rival to Goh-Rong Restaurant on Sooga Island. It is part of a multinational chain of restaurants owned by the eponymous Dong King, though the Sooga Island location in particular is managed by Fyah under the general direction of Dong King's daughter, Ring Ring, though she seems somewhat less interested in the restaurant itself than in pursuing her schemes to best Pucca and to gain Garu's love.
The Dong King Restaurant, though it boasts two chefs and a sort of entertainer and Master of Ceremonies named Casano, is principally characterized by its rapid pace and extreme automation: the waiters are apparently robots, and only three minutes each are allowed for electronically ordering the food, cooking it, and eating, at the end of which diners are unceremoniously bounced from the restaurant. In fact, the entire restaurant seems to have been pre-fabricated, and was flown in one single piece to Sooga Island and deposited there. The food seems to be good, though not nearly at the level of the Goh-Rong Restaurant; for this reason, the manager, Fyah, spends a great deal of his time engaged in unscrupulous schemes either to destroy the custom of the Goh-Rong or to steal its cooking secrets.
