Dandy (득도, Deukdo)[1] is a silent and very mysterious employee at the Goh-Rong Restaurant. He is a new character who was introduced in Netflix's Pucca: Love Recipe.
Biography[]
Little is known about Dandy's past and origin as he's often quiet and keeps to himself. In "Secret of Dandy," it's revealed he came as a "spy" of sorts to find martial secrets rumored to be on Sooga Island. He had attempted to find answers with Master Soo, but to no avail. After seeing Pucca and Garu's interaction, he believed they or the restaurant itself holds the key to finding his secrets. He mostly works (as he himself says) as the "potato peeler." He does odd jobs around the restaurant such as changing the signs for the menu, minor janitorial work, and occasionally serving as a chef, for which he has a talent (though this never seems to be noticed by anyone else at the Goh Rong). There have been several episodes where he's cooked or taken over when the chefs are absent.
He tolerates Dada as well as most of the characters, as he's very goal-driven to find the secrets.
In "Love Soup," his romantic side is briefly seen when he falls for Ching due to the effect from the aroma of a love potion put in a soup. However, once the spell wore off, both he and Ching felt incredibly surprised and awkward.
Despite Fyah's attempts, Dandy has never betrayed the chefs or Goh-Rong. Even at their lowest point, he's stayed by their side and tried to aid them when needed.
