Chicken Spots is the second segment of the third episode of the television show Pucca. It first aired on October 2, 2006.
Synopsis[]
The Vagabonds cast a spell to give Garu chicken pox and make him act like a chicken, but it works too well, as everyone in Sooga Village catches chicken pox.
Plot[]
Tobe engages Garu in combat, but with his inferior ninja moves and dim-witted minions, he is forced to flee in defeat. Having watched the battle, Chief is disappointed by Tobe’s failure and is ridiculed by Clown that she could do no better. Shaman devises a plan to help and summons up a swarm of chicken-spots which misses Garu and enter into the Goh-Rong. Dada is infected and takes on the behavior of a chicken, including clucking and pecking at the ground. After being scared by a cat, the pox spreads to other people, turning everyone on the street into chickens. Abyo attempts to rescue Ching, but he too falls ill.
Pucca is struck by the pox, but upon seeing Garu, overwhelms the virus with her love. Unfortunately, Garu becomes infected while the Vagabond clan watch from the cliff, hurrying off to inform Tobe. Pucca seeks help from the chefs, but they become sick before they can explain the cure. She tries various methods to remove the pox from Garu, from scrubbing them in the washtub to striking them with a fly swatter, though nothing helps. Meanwhile, Tobe meets with the Vagabonds and agrees to launch his attack against Garu, though he claims he would not have needed the unfair advantage.
Pucca goes to Master Soo for advice and he tells her she must scare the chicken-spots out of the people. She returns to the village, dressed as a fox, and succeeds in frightening the spots into abandoning their hosts and leaving the village. Tobe arrives at the same moment and falls victim to the fleeing virus himself, becoming a chicken while the vagabonds flee.
