Boo! Shriek! is the 2nd segment of the 6th episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.
Synopsis[]
Fyah hires the Boo Trio to bring down the self-esteem of everyone in the Goh-Rong Restaurant. Not even Garu can hold out against their Boo martial arts.
Plot[]
Fyah is enjoying a Ring Ring-free day at the Dong King Restaurant when he comes across an internet video. In it, Su Da is doing a report for her segment "In Search of the Taste Master," interviewing a famous sandwich maker who has been cooking for 30 years. While she is praising the chef's skills, three of his customers are being very rude, mocking him for being slow and making him so nervous that he drops his ingredients. The hecklers begin to boo him, sending a dark cloud over the chef who becomes depressed, unable to cook anymore. Su Da, also infected by the dark energy, ends her broadcast. Seeing this gives Fyah an idea and he commands one of his minions to bring those hecklers to Sooga Island.
The Goh-Rong is busy with their lunch rush customers when the Boo Trio arrive. Dada, who is rushing around, trips and spills food on one of them for which they harshly berate him. The anxious boy apologizes, trying to clean up the mess, but the hecklers continue to insult and boo him for everything he does. They cast their dark cloud over Dada, making him too depressed to do anything. Pucca is witness to all of this and very distressed.
The Boo Trio continue to cast their negative energy around the dinning hall, infecting the patrons so that they can no longer eat due to their sadness. Master Soo recognizes this as the Boo Martial arts, using vicious jeering techniques to make others feel small. He challenges the hecklers who confidently accept, sending more of their negative clouds his way. To combat them, Master Soo reveals his special technique: the Cheer martial arts. Dressing himself into a cheerleader uniform, he goes through several cheers to encourage himself. However, the hecklers - joined by others in the restaurant - boo him for the display.
Garu is heading towards the restaurant with some fresh ingredients when he sees Master Soo running out, crying and with the Boo Trio's dark energy on him. The other victims also come trudging out, depressed from all the heckling. Fyah watches this through his binoculars and hopes this will be the end of the Goh-Rong.
When Garu enters the restaurant, the hecklers mock him as well and try to cast the same dark cloud at him. But Garu, using his training, stays calm which sheilds him against the jeers. The hecklers are stunned by this and Pucca is delighted. The Boo Trio join together to increase their negative energy while Garu multiplies himself to counter them, now locked in a stalemate.
Fyah's video-camera snail sees all of this and the worried manager calls in Tobe for back up. The Dark Ninja rushes in with DJ turtables, rapping out a diss track against Garu with the Boo Trio providing vocals. This is strong enough to shatter Garu's defenses and leave him depressed. All that remains in Pucca.
They try to hit her with the same overwhelming dark clouds and while she nearly falls, she sees Garu and her love for him lets her shake off the negative energy. No matter how many times they try to effect her, seeing Garu keeps her in a good mood. Tobe tries to foil her by blocking her view of Garu, but she easily kicks him out of the restaurant. Fyah is desperate now and calls in for his last secret weapon.
That weapon is a dog who enters the restaurant and leads the Boo Trio with its howling to increase their power, enough to take over the entire restaurant. Pucca gets an idea and rushs off, returning with Ching while both are wearing cheerleader uniforms. Just like Master Soo said, they use the Cheerleading martial arts and send out a wave of positive energy to combat the negative. Both sides clash and are equally matched, but Ching is losing spirit. The hecklers see this and ready to take them down.
At that moment, Abyo jumps into the battle, also wearing a cheerleader uniform and adding his energy to aid his friends. Together, the kids out on a great cheer routine that overcomes the Boo Trio, undoing all of their negative effects. As Garu returns to normal, Pucca swoops in with a cheer for him too while she steals a few kisses.
Over at the Dong King Restaurant, the Boo Trio are having a leasurely meal in Fyah's meetign room where the manager complais of their failure to bring down Goh-Rong. The hecklers are displeased with his scolding and threatn to get him fired before unleashing their negative energy on the restaurant. Customers walk out as the dark cloud now hangs over the Dong King.
