Attempt of Casano is the 3rd segment of the 3rd episode of Pucca: Love Recipe.
Synopsis[]
Ring Ring tasks Casano at stealing Pucca's heart to distract her from Garu. Casano baits the delivery girl with lessons to win her crush, but soon he is the one falling for her instead.
Plot[]
Ring Ring is spying on Garu doing chores around his house, when Pucca sneaks up to him for a kiss. While Ring Ring is furious at her love rival, she can hear the cheers of the Dong King Restaurant and goes down to watch Casano putting on a show for them as he tops their deserts with cream and mini umbrellas. She can't understand his popularity, though Ayo pops up to mention she wouldn't fall for the handsome entertainer because she's already in love with Garu (a fact she threatens him to keep quiet about). This gives the heiress an idea, though, and she orders Casano to win the heart of Pucca to get her out of Ring Ring's way. Casano is interested in such a challenge and agrees.
Casano leisurely waits in an alleyway until Garu goes running past, at which point he steps out to catch the pursuing Pucca in his arms. However, Pucca doesn’t slow for even a moment and after he tries to flirt with her, she chucks him away to continue after Garu. He crashes back at Dong King, into Ring Ring's pool which gets her soaked. She demands to know if he failed to win over Pucca but he assures her he is still working on it. However, an unwise word choice gets him thrown once more by his own boss.
Pucca is still chasing Garu through town but just as it looks like she's corned him, he slips away over the roof tops. Pucca is saddened by this and Casano swoops in to flirt gain, but is ignored. However, he's changed his tactics as this time he offers her something interesting: advice to win Garu's heart. For this, Pucca happily agrees to listen to him and Casano hopes the time together will make her fall for him.
They begin Pucca's training with changing her approach. Instead of charging at her crush, he tells her to lightly walk around him and then turn back with a sweet look. She does so flawlessly and Casano remarks on how effective it is. He also teachers her to play the damsel by falling down and looking adorably helpless. Again, Pucca does this easily and again, Casano is enchanted by her cuteness.
Ring Ring is spying on this progress and misunderstands is as Pucca falling in love with Casano. Ayo properly suspects that Casano is the one falling for Pucca, which annoys Ring Ring. She tries to shoo him off with a command to get her juice but he reveals he brought her a tower of juice glasses as she is always asking for them. She does not appreciate his forethought.
Casano finishes Pucca's transformation with a makeover and after declaring her beautiful, they head off to find Garu. The ninja boy is enjoying lunch at the Goh-Rong Restaurant when the new Pucca arrives. She receives compliments from everyone around and Casano, watching from within the dinning room, is eager for Garu's reaction. Pucca walks up the Garu's table and once he looks up at her, she pulls her over-the-shoulder look to which he has no reaction. Not giving up, Pucca then throws herself on the table in front of him and tries to seem meek and wounded, but this only confuses the boy. When she tries to crawl closer to him, he jumps to the other side, not any more interested in her than before.
At that moment, a dumpling is hurled his way, which he catches and turns to face Casano. The entertainer is outraged that he would be so cold to someone so lovely, throwing more dumplings which Garu dodges. Casano changes to throwing his decorative mini umbrellas, declaring Pucca is too good for the pig-tailed ninja. The umbrellas pin Garu to the wall and Casano proclaims his own love of Pucca, ready to finish off the ingrate. However, Pucca herself steps in, displeased by this attack on her crush. Casano insists he does this all for her but Pucca still knocks him into the distance to his tearful regrets. The delivery girl is satisfied and after seeing Garu sneaking off, she starts up the usual chase, back to her old ways.
Ring Ring is enjoying the idea of Pucca-free days but Casano falls into her pool again. He proclaims his love for Pucca, vowing to root for love as an expression of his own. Ring Ring is aghast by such betrayal and sends the handsome man sailing into the distance for the fourth time that day.
