[Scene opens on a fortune cookie factory sitting in the middle of a dreary swamp. Inside, Turtle walks past a giant typewriter and overflowing crates of fortune cookies.]
Turtle: Fortune smiles upon those who think before acting. [Turtle jumps on the typewriter to write a fortune. He then takes it and feeds it through a contraption, where a pair of robotic hands clap the cookie dough and fortune together, placing it back on the assembly line where it is sent through an oven and dropped into a sack of cooked fortune cookies. The smell drifts towards Tobe and his ninjas, who are practicing with a Garu dummy doll.]
Tobe: NINJAS, ATTACK! [The ninjas bow and individually jump in the air, only to end up piling on top of each other on the doll and be flung into the water. Tobe facepalms and sighs as the Vagabond ninjas poke out of a tree behind] So many ninjas, so few brain cells.
Chief: Oh Tobe, [Gushes] I’d give you my brain, if only you took my heart… with it. [Shaman and Clown smell the cookie aroma and cheer.]
Shaman: Cookies!
Clown: Cookies! Eh. [Shaman and Clown run towards the smell. Inside, hiding in a tube, they see Turtle typing away on the typewriter] Turtle may be smart, but we’re... wise guys. Eh. [Shaman and Clown fall out of the tube next to a sackl of fortune cookies. They each grab a handful of fortune cookies and chow down, sticking the fortunes out with their tongues.]
Shaman: What’s yours say? [Clown holds the fortune up to his eyes with his tongue, then grabs it.]
Clown: “Don’t eat the paper part.” [Footsteps approach Clown as Turtle greets him offscreen, catching Clown off guard.]
Turtle: Oh hello! [A fortune cookie falls to the floor] I didn’t hear you knock. [Chief falls down from the tube onto Turtle, knocking his glasses. They land onto Chief’s face.]
Chief: [In a mocking sing-songy tone] Look at meee, I’m smarty Turtle! [Chief’s tiny brain suddenly grows massive] Wow. I am smart! [Chief walks away with the glasses on as Turtle sits up and plays with his lips with his fingers, blubbering.]
[Scene transitions to Shaman and Clown watching Chief carry and put down scrap parts.]
Shaman: What’re you doing?
Chief: I’m going to show Tobe how smart I am. [Starts screwing a scrap item.]
[Scene transitions to Turtle wandering through Sooga Village. Everyone chatters at the sight of Turtle, who simply moans as he walks by Pucca and Ching, who waves at him.]
Ching: Oh hi, Turtle. Do you have any love life advice for Pucca?
Turtle: I like cheese. [Hops down and digs the dirt with chopsticks, still moaning. He pulls out and eats a worm.]
Ching: Oookay.
[Scene transitions to the Vagabonds walking up to Tobe. His ninjas are dangling from a clothesline, drying off. Chief is carrying what appears to be an empty transparent covered tray]
Chief: I come bearing a present. [Tobe peers through the tray.]
Tobe: Hmm. It is very… empty. [Chief taps the top and a ball of energy emerges inside. Tobe watches as an apple appears.]
Chief: It harnesses the power of the sun to instantly grow any fruit or vegetable in the world. It could be used to end world hunger! [Gives tray to Tobe] For you, together… we’ll be famous.
Tobe: Clever. [As Chief tries to kiss him, Tobe walks away] But can it be used as a weapon to bring shame to Garu?
Chief: Uh… sure. [Jumps and pulls out a pen and blueprint, performing calculations] Swap a few numbers here, [Stammering] move some components there… [Jumps in front of Tobe] a-and we can build one of these! [Shows Tobe the blueprint.]
Tobe: Yes… of course! [Cut to the blueprint] One of… um… those things! NINJAS! [They jump down] Commence construction at once! [The ninjas jump away. One of them returns to get the blueprint. Chief swoons happily. A magpie swoops down and takes Chief’s pen.]
Chief: My pen!
Clown and Shaman: Magpie attack!
[The blueprint flies by, transitioning the scene to Tobe’s ninjas constructing a tall rocket. Inside, the ninjas prepare while Tobe and Chief overlook the process.]
Chief: Primary thruster ignition in five… four… [Shot of a nervous ninja] three… [Closeup of Clown looking up dramatically] two… [Closeup of Chief’s face] one. [Outside the rocket, the ninjas flee as it prepares to shoot out of a building. The group watches the rocket flying inside.]
[Scene transitions to Ching and Pucca holding onto Turtle’s hands as he sticks his head in and out of his shell.]
Turtle: It goes in, it goes out. It goes in, it goes out!
Ching: Has anyone seen Turtle’s glasses? [The townspeople gather and look up in the sky. Ching and Pucca look up. Scene cuts to the rocket, now out of the atmosphere. The extra parts fall off the rocket, and a device is sent flying through from the rocket’s tip into space. Tobe, standing next to a ninja, becomes confused.]
Ninja 1: Ooh! It’s a satellite! [Tobe smacks the ninja off his seat.]
Tobe: I knew that! [Chief presses a button.]
Chief: Powering up the laser… [Tobe, sitting in the seat, wheels past Chief.]
Tobe: Ooh! It’s a laser. [The ninjas prepare to lock in a target.]
Chief: Locking on target. [Their target is Garu, who is walking through Sooga Village reading a book. The satellite zaps a banana peel far away from Garu.]
Ninja 2: [Offscreen] Ooh! [Points to screen] It’s a… banana peel? [Tobe spins the ninja’s seat around.]
Tobe: Yes. Of course! What delicious shameless will bring to Garu, falling for the oldest joke in the book. From now on, [Scene centers on Garu] every step he takes [Pan over to the banana peel] a banana peel will wait in his path, to slip him up.
Chief: Does my invention please you… darling? [Leans over to Tobe with her lips puckered.]
Tobe: This is [Unintentionally smacks Chief, causing the glasses to be flung in the air] brilliant! [With Chief no longer wearing the glasses, her brain shrinks back to its original size. Chief mumbles as the magpie swoops in and takes the glasses, flying over Clown and Shaman.]
Clown and Shaman: MAGPIE ATTACK!
Clown: Eh. [The magpie flies away with the glasses. On the screen, Garu, without looking up, jumps over the banana peel.]
Tobe: The first one missed the target! Prepare to fire again! [Chief stands in front of the buttons, looking at them confused.]
Chief: Um… uh… uhmm…. [Closes her eyes and hits a random button. The satellite simply drifts in space. Tobe looks back at Chief, who cowers and hits multiple random buttons. The satellite ends up zapping multiple banana peels throughout Sooga Village, causing multiple people to slip on them, except Garu. Turtle, sitting on a banana peel, zooms by squealing in delight.]
[Scene transitions to Chief and Tobe standing outside his lair. The satellite zaps multiple banana peels around, causing Tobe’s ninjas and Clown and Shaman to slip on them.]
Tobe: How could you not know how this thing works?! You designed it! [Goes to storm inside but slips on a banana peel.]
[Scene transitions to the satellite going haywire, zapping banana peels and causing people to slip on them at Rome, including the Leaning Tower, and Paris. Santa dressed as a mime, pretends to walk through a windstorm in front of the Eiffel Tower as a French man and his son watches.]
Santa: Oh ho ho ho! Look at me! I’m walking against la wind. [The man scolds Santa while his son cheers as the satellite zaps multiple banana peels around. Santa backs up and accidentally slips on a peel, landing on his face. The man laughs.]
[Scene transitions to Barcelona, where people run away from a bull. Multiple banana peels appear, causing the people to slow down. The bull knocks into them. Scene then transitions back to Sooga Village, where it is being flooded with banana peels. Turtle slides down a banana peel mountain as Pucca watches. The magpie, still holding the glasses, flies by and squawks. Pucca starts thinking. Turtle slides through the peels, looking up at the sky.]
Turtle: The sun! [Cut to the sun, where the satellite beams are coming from] Pretty. [Before the magpie flies away, Pucca kicks it, causing it to drop the glasses, which land onto Turtle’s face, restoring his intelligence] Oh my! [Ching slips] Ching, may I borrow your sword? [Ching throws the sword to Turtle, who catches it. He then proceeds to carve a mathematical equation onto a wall, finding a solution. He then leaps and uses the sword to deflect a beam, which ends up zapping the satellite. The satellite shoots out a final, giant beam towards Tobe’s lair, where Tobe and Chief are inside.]
Chief: [Offscreen] See? I told you I knew what I was doing. [The beam stops and explodes in the air, causing a giant banana peel to fall and cover the lair.]
Tobe: [Offscreen] You’re all fired.
[Scene transitions to the residents sweeping the banana peels into piles as Garu walks by, still reading a book. Ching sees that Garu is about to walk towards a banana peel.]
Ching: Garu, look out! [Garu looks up, sliding on the peel and being thrown in the air. Turtle sees this. As Ching and Pucca watch nervously, Turtle slides in, causing Garu to land on top of him and use him as a trampoline. The two hop on their feet. Garu and Turtle bow down to each other.]
Turtle: Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. [Ching and Pucca, using banana peels, skates up to Turtle and kisses his cheeks. Hearts form in his eyes as the girls giggle and the scene closes in on Turtle.]
